My Summer Vacation
One of my favorite annual summer activities is teaching the week-long 'Comic and Creation Publishing Workshop' at Canandaigua, NY's Wood Library.
Together with my cohort in crime, Mike Churchill, I had the pleasure of guiding eighteen students towards the completion of a 76 (!) page anthology, appropriately entitled 'Results May Vary'. I am truly awe-inspired by their creativity, hard work, and dedication.
Now in it's fifth year, it has not only provided budding teen and tween artists an outlet to creatively express themselves, it has become an honest-to-gosh launchpad for teens determined to pursue a career in the comic book industry.
Look for the premier publication of a full-length comic from two of our former students in the early months of 2008. More news on that project soon!
